Growing Tips:

Plant starter plugs 24-30 inches apart in spring or fall. Mountain Mint spreads by rhizomes to form colonies, so give it room or plant where spreading is desired. To contain, edge with hardscaping or root barriers. Tolerates a wide range of soils including clay. Cut back by one-third in June to encourage bushier growth and more flowers. Leaves can be dried for tea. Thrives throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts in zones 5-6, handling our humid summers beautifully.
